Contract signing ceremony of package EX-3
On 14 April 2010, the Contract Signing Ceremony of Package EX-3 was held between China Road & Bridge Corporation and Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Finance Investment Joint Stock Company at the headquarter of VIDIFI.
The Ceremony was attended by Mr. Peng Da Peng – Chief of Representative Office in Vietnam, Mr. Ren Yu Fang – Vice Chief of Representative Office in Vietnam and Mr. Chen Xian Feng – Chief Engineer of Representative Office in Vietnam on the side of China; Mr. Dao Van Chien – General Director of VIDIFI, the Deputy General Directors, the Leaders of various Departments under the Company and the representatives of shareholders of the Company and the Inspection Committee on the side of Vietnam.
The Hanoi – Hai Phong Expressway Project has been divided into 10 civil work packages and 7 auxiliary packages; the Detailed Design has been completed by the Joint Venture of Yooshin – KPT; The supervision works for the civil work packages is undertaken by the Joint Venture of Meinhardt International Pte Ltd and Vietnam – Japan Engineering Consultants Co., Ltd. To date, 95% of land has been acquired in the whole route; 3 civil work packages have been executed by the international contractors on the site in Hai Phong city; the remaining packages, of which the excavation of top soil and backfilling works have been completed by the local contractors are under the selection of main contractors. As scheduled, all the packages will be commenced in the whole route in June 2010.

Package EX-3 is one of the packages under the Hanoi – Hai Phong Expressway Project, with the beginning point at Km19+000 (in accordance with the station of the Project) in Minh Chau commune – Yen My district – Hung Yen province and the ending point at Km33+000 (in accordance with the station of the Project) in Thai Duong commune, Binh Giang district – Hung Yen province. This section is inclusive of 10 bridges, 12 underpasses, 01 stopover station and 02 interchanges.
Package EX-3 is financed by Vietnam Development Bank and has been organised in form of international competitive bidding. After the summarization of evaluation outcomes in respect of technical and financial aspects, the working teams of VIDIFI have finished their evaluation of the Bids in a fair and objective manner, whereby the Management Board of VIDIFI has approved the results of selection of contractor for Package EX-3 and awarded the contract to China Road & Bridge Corporation.
China Road & Bridge Corporation (CRBC) is an experienced contractor and is now the Contractor for Package 1A under the Ho Chi Minh city – Long Thanh – Dau Day Expressway Project, a section of the North – South Highway. Package 1A has beginning point at Km4+000 and the ending point at Km7+500 in District 9 – Ho Chi Minh city, with total length of 3.5 Km. The section from Km4+000 to Km4+514 is under the urban road, with design speed of 100km/h; the section from Km4+514 to Km7+500 is under the Expressway, with design speed of 120km/h.
