Vietnam Construction and Import - Export Corporation (VINACONEX) (the former Overseas Construction and Service Company) was established on September 27th 1988.

Over the past 20 years of development, VINACONEX has now been the leading multi-functional corporations in the Vietnam's construction industry, operating in construction, investment consultancy, designing, planning survey, import and export of equipment and materials, industrial & construction materials manufacturing, education and training, engineer and labor export.

Recently, VINACONEX has financed many real estate projects nationwide, namely Thao Dien Resident and Commercial Block (Ho Chi Minh City); Northern An Khanh New Town Project (Ha Tay); South East Tran Duy Hung New Town (Hanoi), Hanoi Inter administrative offices (Hanoi), etc. Moreover, in view of the construction demands of the Corporation's projects and those of the market, VINACONEX is also engaged in the manufacture of various building materials such as high-grade facing stone, safety glass, cement, concrete, steel structure, etc.

The brand name of VINACONEX has also been strengthened by a traditional business sector, which is trading and import - export of goods. The average import - export volume increases about 20% on an annual basis, reaching $75.036 million in 2008. At present, the Corporation is developing a network of trading centers and hotels in urban areas and resorts, typically Trang Tien Trade Center, Thanh Hoa Trade Center, Vinh Yen Trade Center, Ha Dong Trade Center, Suoi Mo Hotel (Ha Long, Quang Ninh), Holiday View Hotel (Cat Ba, Hai Phong).
